The Little Train at Mandarin Florida
These are the first pictures that we have received:
John, My Mom and I saw your article entitled
"Memorabilia sought for the Little Train at Mandarin" in The Creek
Line. Enclosed are the two photos we have. The first one is me in
front of the little Mandarin train. The second is my mom and me sitting
in one of the train cars. These pictures were taken in the summer of
1954. I was 3 1/2 at the time.
I have an aunt who grew up in Jacksonville,
she is currently living in Maryland, and she is looking for a
picture she had. She also said that she was forwarding your article
to a friend she grew up with to see if her friend had any photos or
stories.

The building in the background of the second picture is the gas station on
the east side of SR 13.
The station was owned by Braddy Wilford Sr. The train
ran around the grocery store owned by Ruth Flynn.
